About Luis Cortes

Luis Cortes is a Nashville-based entrepreneur and hospitality operator, best known as the owner of Red Bicycle Coffee and founder of Cortes Ventures Inc., a company focused on developing and operating high-quality coffee and food concepts across Middle Tennessee.

Alongside his wife and business partner, Cyndi Cortes, Luis has grown Red Bicycle Coffee into a multi-location brand serving communities throughout Nashville, Mt. Juliet, Nolensville, and surrounding areas. Under their leadership, the company has become known for its commitment to specialty coffee, fresh food, and creating welcoming neighborhood spaces.

Before founding Cortes Ventures Inc., Luis built his career in operations and leadership, including his time with Chipotle Mexican Grill where he rose from crew member to Director of Operations, overseeing multiple locations and new store openings. His background in scaling operations, team development, and customer experience continues to shape the growth and consistency of the Red Bicycle Coffee brand.

Luis is focused on building brands that combine quality, culture, and community impact. Through Cortes Ventures Inc., he continues to expand hospitality concepts while maintaining a commitment to being independently owned and locally operated.
